The Bachelor of Music (Hons) in Creative Industries offers professional training and a new articulation pathway through two specialised concentrations: Scoring for Film, Television, and Video Games, and Popular Music Performance and Songwriting. The Scoring concentration equips students with the musical and technical expertise to work as composers, orchestrators, music supervisors, music editors, conductors, and music producers across screen-based media.
The Popular Music Performance and Songwriting concentration prepares students for careers as music producers, songwriters, arrangers instrumental and vocal performers, and singer-songwriters in the contemporary music industry.

A key strength of our BMus programme is the calibre of its teaching staff: renowned music producers, film composers, and performing artists who are actively shaping the industry. Their real-world expertise brings cutting-edge practices from studios and scoring stages directly into the classroom, ensuring students receive professional, up-to-date training. Through masterclasses, project-based modules, and one-to-one mentorship, students gain practical skills, build strong portfolios, and develop valuable networks.

This close industry engagement helps explain why many of our students and alumni secure gigs, placements, and credits while still studying, accelerating their transition into the professional music world and setting them up for sustained success after graduation.
